Viele Blüten sind nicht nur ein Augenschmaus, sondern auch für unseren Gaumen ein Genuss. Essbare Blüten sind auf den Tellern in Salaten, Speisen und Nachspeisen nicht mehr wegzudenken und machen jedes Gericht zum Blickfang, denn Essen soll nicht nur gut schmecken, sondern auch hübsch angerichtet sein, denn das Auge isst ja bekanntlich mit.

Wie schön wäre es, wenn die Blumen in deinem Garten nicht nur schön Aussehen und duften, sondern auch noch gut schmecken
Es gibt eine reichliche Auswahl von essbaren Blüten, eines davon ist das kleine, zierliche und farbenfrohe März-Veilchen (Viola odorata)
Das März-Veilchen (Viola odorata) ist mild im Aroma und duftet zart, verzaubert die Salate, auch andere Speisen mit einem kleinen Gesichter-Muster
Andere Blüten werden als Delikatesse verspeist, wie die Zucchini (Cucurbita pepo var. giromontiina), die frittiert wird und von Mai bis September im Garten wächst und blüht
Gute Laune bringt die Kapuzinerkresse mit ihrer orangen Farbe auf den Teller, ist eine perfekter Begleiter für Salate, hat einen würzig-scharfen Geschmack, den aber nicht jeder mag, halt Geschmacksache
Die Sonnenblume mit ihren schönen Blütenblätter sind nicht außergewöhnlich im Geschmack, haben aber eine heitere Funktion, denn sie lockern jeden Salat auf
Für viele Fleischspeisen eignet sich der Lavendel (Lavandula angustifolia) durch sein intensives Aroma, auch für süße Kompottspeisen bestens geeignet
Als Teepflanze bezaubert die Ringelblume (Calendula officinalis), auch ist sie als Heilpflanze bestens bekannt
Die Kornblume (Centaurea cyanus) ist in Abwechslung zu den gelben und orangen Blüten, eine blaue leuchtende Dekorierung auf dem Teller, schmeckt leicht bitter, auch würzig
Auf deiner Wiese lass doch mal einige Gänseblümchen (Bellis perennis) stehen, wie zierlich und schön sehen diese zarten Blüten auf dem Teller aus und gelten als alte Heilpflanze
Bei dem Kauf solltest du darauf achten, dass die Pflanzen für den Verzehr geeignet sind, nicht gespritzt wurden, noch besser sie kommen aus dem eigenen Anbau
Bevor du sie zum Anrichten verwendest, ist ein Bad im kalten Wasser gut, danach werden sich vorsichtig abgetupft
Auch Stempel, Stiele, Kelchblätter solltest du vor dem Servieren entfernen
